1. Is NIJ is a Govt. sponsored organization?

Yes, it is an educational project promoted by DSIIDC, A Govt. of Delhi undertaking which is why ,we have most sophisticated equipment and most subsidized course fee structure in the entire region, and not to forget the most competent faculty.

2. What are the eligibility criteria for seeking admission in the various training programmes?

Any one who has passed 12th standard with knowledge of written and spoken English can take admission for NIJ training programmes.

3. Is there any age bar for doing the courses?

No, there is no age bar. Anyone who is physically and mentally fit and has willingness to fulfill our criteria can take admission in these courses.

4. Are students entitled to a certificate after successful completion of the course?

Yes, after passing prescribed theory and practical examination with requisite attendance the students are awarded certificates.

5. What are the prospects and job opportunities after the training course?

Since NIJ is promoted by DSIIDC- A Govt. undertaking and NIJ has members from gem & jewellery industry and eminent personalities on its governing body. The NIJ has close contacts with trade & industry. Further NIJ and its training programmes are known and accepted in the gems & jewellery industry; hence the pass outs from NIJ will be able to secure jobs as designers, technicians, production managers, quality control manager, retail salesman/women etc. in the industry depending on the skills and capability.

Further, NIJ plans to organize annual career fair in which recruiters from the industry and job seeker will be on the same platform. This interaction will provide students better opportunity to get suitable employment in the gems and jewellery industry.

6. What is the mode of payment of fees for joining the course?

Full Course fee is accepted by cash or through pay order/DD drawn in favour of National Institute of Jewellery. No part payment of course fee accepted.

7. Can I get a loan from bank for making payment of fees?

Yes, some banks have this facility, for details you can make enquiries with the bank.

8. Do you provide hostel facility?

NIJ is planning on these lines to provide hostel facility for out station students on demand. However PG accommodation facility is available in around Delhi.
