With the aim of providing self employment opportunities to the weaker sections of society, community works centers were constructed and allotted at 54 locations in various J.J. Colonies in the National Capital Territory of Delhi since 1975-76 and onwards.
DSIIDC has allotted 1075 work spaces on Licence Fee Basis, 904 on hire purchase basis and 1680 on out right basis in these community work centers.
Scheme of Transfer of Works Spaces on Out Right Basis
On demand from the allottees and present occupants, the corporation has launched schemes to regularize allotment/ transfer the allotted work spaces on Out Right Basis. The present occupants has to pay cost of work spaces alongwith payment of transfer charges wherever applicable. Under the ongoing fifth transfer scheme, the original allottees of work spaces allotted on licence fee basis are given the benefit of adjustment of the licence fee already paid against the cost of work space.
If any Association of the allottees approaches DSIIDC, it may facilitate availing loan by them for transfer of work spaces on Out Right Basis. |
Scheme of Transfer for allottees of work spaces on Hire Purchase Basis
With a view to encourage ownership on outright basis and enterprise among economically weaker section of society, scheme has been launched for six months from 21st Feb'2011 to allow one time waiver of 25% in the amount outstanding as interest against Allottees/Present occupants of work spaces allotted on Hire Purchase Basis on liquidating all the dues. Atleast 75% of the allottees/present occupant of a cluster must comes forwarded through their association to avail the benefit of the scheme. |
Maintenance of Community work centers
It is the responsibility of the allottees/present occupants and their welfare associations for maintenance of the work spaces and the centers under the terms and conditions of allotments. The associations must ensure that unauthorized constructions and encroachments do not take place and polluting industries are not run in these centers. DSIIDC on its part has voluntarily taken up emergent repairs at community work centers to safe guard life out of its funds as a special case as welfare measure. The payments being made to persons engaged by the corporation for cleanliness at centers have been doubled and to be released on certification by the associations
